About BOB Lumi

A small collection, kept slowly.

BOB Lumi is a small collection of homeware — stoneware, linen, oak, brass and glass — presented the way a gallery would present it: one object at a time, with room around it.

Why so few

We would rather keep twelve things we are sure of than a hundred we are not. Each piece is chosen for how it is made, how it feels in the hand, and whether it will still be in use ten years from now.

How a piece is chosen

Lived with before it is listed.

A bowl goes into the kitchen, a throw onto the bed. If it is still the one we reach for after a few weeks, it joins the collection; if not, it goes back.

That is why the collection grows slowly, and why some rooms hold only one or two pieces for now.

What we hold to

Natural materials, honest prices, nothing loud.

Prices include GST and are the prices you pay. Every order starts as an enquiry, so a person confirms availability and delivery before anything is charged.
